WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Saturday was the 10th annual Sensory Santa Celebration Event.
What started with three photo backdrops and some cookies has now evolved into food vendors, a petting zoo, and photos with Santa.
The founders of the event drew inspiration from the classic photos of with Santa at the mall.
It is a big Christmas party for children and adults with all abilities and their families. It was intended for families that just can’t access a mall Santa for whatever reason; it’s too loud, too crowded. We have Santa in a quiet place, we have all kinds of things to do while they wait so it’s happy chaos but it’s great we love it," Founder Mandi Barnes said.
Barnes adds that 17 sponsors helped make this event possible.
