New Delhi, Dec 14 Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has directed to introduce local and regional cuisine on Vande Bharat trains , underscoring that the initiative would greatly enhance the overall passenger experience in Indian Railways.

He said that serving food reflective of the culture, traditions and culinary heritage of the regions through which the trains operate would offer travellers a more authentic and enriching journey.

The Minister further stated that the introduction of regional cuisine would not only improve on-board services but also help promote local food traditions and ingredients.
