SHREVEPORT, La. – Sports the perfect way to bring people together, have fun and feel great about yourself. However, not all kids get the opportunity to have those experiences.

The parkway panthers made sure to change that today as they hosted a skill and drills special needs baseball camp this morning.

The goal was to make sure every kid has a chance to play ball.

Coaches and students helped the kids learn baseball fundamentals and spirits were high as the kids got to go into the batting cages to practice their swings.

The kids also got to play entire games and cheer each other on.

Organizers say this event was meant to get kids with special needs involved in group sports. Kids who may not otherwise have been able to participate in sports were given a chance to do so.
