AUBURN, Wash. — Flooding from a powerful storm system prompted a Level 3 evacuation order Saturday for residents near Pike Street NE and Pike Place NE along the Green River in Auburn, while evacuation notices were lifted for parts of Snohomish County as waters receded.

The City of Auburn said residents in the affected area should leave immediately if water is entering their homes. Anyone needing emergency evacuation assistance should call 911. Shelter space is available, according to the city, and additional information is posted at auburnwa.gov/flood .

Earlier Saturday, Auburn had reissued a Level 2 notice for the same area, warning residents to be prepared to leave at a moment’s notice as flooding from stormwater and the Green River continued.
