LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A popular southern Indiana ice cream shop will soon close its doors for good.
The Widow’s Walk Ice Creamery owner Jill Dodson says it is “the end of her era.”
She made the announcement Saturday, posting a video highlighting her time and the store’s impact on the Clarksville community.
“I was ready to sell the ice cream shop in 2023 and retire so I could live out the rest of my days enjoying every second with my three grandchildren. Then the road construction announcement came (which would basically close the road for the entire 2024 season), so I decided to wait on the sale to see that through, since it wouldn’t have been fair to pass that burden on to a new owner,” she said.
Dodson plans to retire and put the business up for sale.
