The Congress party is all set to organise a large rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on December 14 as part of its ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ campaign over alleged ‘vote chori’ and the SIR issue. Party leaders have termed the rally a key moment in their political fight against the BJP-led government. The programme follows a call by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
According to Congress leaders, the rally aims to take the party’s message directly to the people and build pressure on the Centre over alleged electoral irregularities. Workers and leaders from several states have already begun arriving in the national capital and a large turnout is expected on Sunday morning.
