In a Mazda sedan, a man dials 911 and tells dispatchers he is in pursuit of an Audi SUV that is weaving through traffic on Cerrillos Road and “driving erratically at speeds of up to 120 mph.”

The caller says he saw two young children in the Audi, that the driver is yelling and driving aggressively and that he fears for the safety of the children.

He tells the dispatcher he is armed and he is prepared to use his gun to protect himself if necessary.

In the Audi, a woman tries to calm down her husband and two crying children while a Mazda driver follows them aggressively “trying to start stuff,” she will later recount to police. At one point, while he is speeding alongside them, he points what appears to be a handgun at their vehicle, she says.
