GLENDORA — The boys basketball season is just getting started with the playoffs several weeks away. But things are heating up already for Glendora.
The Tartans got a taste of playoff atmosphere as they narrowly lost to Ontario Christian, 64-61, in a thriller in the championship game of the Glendora Tournament on Saturday night.
It’s a loss that Glendora coach Gordon Hamlow isn’t going to dwell on long, as his team has to prepare for the Palomares Legue opener on Friday, Dec. 19, against a tough Ayala squad that is 10-2.
“That’s what you want to play in December,” Hamlow said when asked about the playoff-like feel to the game against Ontario Christian. “You want to get ready to play tough league games then you want to get ready to play playoff games.”
