A massive manhunt is underway for a gunman who killed two people and wounded nine others during final exams at Brown University 's engineering building Saturday afternoon in Providence, Rhode Island. The suspect, described as a male in dark clothing possibly wearing a camouflage mask, was last seen leaving the Barus & Holley building on foot.

Officers scattered across the Ivy League campus and into surrounding neighborhoods, searching academic buildings, backyards and porches for hours late into the night. A shelter-in-place order remains in effect for areas near the campus.

University President Christina Paxson said she was told that 10 people who were shot were students. Another person was injured by fragments from the shooting, but it was not clear if the victim was a student.
