A poll has found that nearly half of Brits admit to feeling stressed about living up to gift-giving expectations
A survey of 2,000 shoppers has revealed that Brits are set to spend an average of £110 on second-hand gifts this Christmas . According to the research, the younger generations are leading the charge, with Millennials planning to spend around £154 and Gen Z splashing out £130, both figures significantly higher than the national average.
The trend appears to be driven by a combination of financial pressures and environmental concerns. Nearly half (47%) of those surveyed admitted to feeling stressed about meeting gift-giving expectations, with Gen Z feeling the most pressure (61%), compared to just a third of Baby Boomers (33%).
