EVANSTON — After a circuitous trip which involved numerous people, locations and the local Uinta County Museum personnel, a WWI burial flag with William Ray Harvey’s name, his military company and annotation that he is buried in France, has finally come home to Mountain View. The oldest surviving relative, Kaye Harvey Sadlier, and her son, Bob Sadlier, received the flag from local veteran Jon Conrad on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Mountain View library.

Conrad found a photo and some information on William Ray Harvey in a booklet titled “A Tribute and Memorial to the Service Men of Uinta County,” compiled by the Uinta County Memorial Association in 1918.
