Young biker dies in South West crash after 'police contact' View Image

A young biker has died in a collision in the South West after being in "contact" with the police.

The crash involved a black Nissan car and a blue Suzuki motorbike and happened around 1.40pm yesterday (Saturday, December 13).

As a result of the collision on Boringdon Hill in Plympton, just outside of Plymouth, the rider of the motorbike, a 23-year-old local man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The occupants of the car were not injured in the collision.

The road was closed while officers from the roads policing unit and forensic collision investigation team examined the scene.

Officers said they would like to thank the public for their patience while the road was closed.
