Egypt is taking significant steps to bolster Arab energy security with the introduction of five new initiatives. These proposals, announced during the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries ministerial meeting in Kuwait, include an ambitious Arab energy interconnection map and coordinated emergency oil and LNG purchases.
