So David Shribman (“Did America do in 1925 what the Germans did in 1918?” Dec. 7) believes that the sinking of high speed boats loaded with narcotics that kill our children is more or less the same as German submarines torpedoing hospital ships and then killing the surviving nurses in lifeboats? He then regrets that “We don’t know the names of the two men who clung to the wrecked refuse of a doomed boat,” while our military followed orders “to kill them.” Where to begin?
These men were drug dealers on a mission of death and murder for profit, not nurses on a mission of mercy. The drug cartels they work for have been designated as terrorist organizations. They were not clinging to “refuse” but to their drug boat, which was not destroyed, but only damaged and flipped over.
