Chippy creates foot-long pigs in blankets using 10kg of bacon daily View 3 Images

A family-run fish and chip shop may have created Britain's largest pigs in blankets - a foot-long battered sausage that packs over 1,000 calories each.

This colossal Christmas delicacy, priced at just £3.85, is made from a specially crafted 12.5-inch pork sausage, boasting an 80 per cent pork content, wrapped in four rashers of streaky bacon.

The shop's owner, George Georgiou, revealed that they sell approximately 200 of these gargantuan sausages daily, with each batch taking about an hour to prepare. The preparation involves using over 10kg (22lbs) of bacon daily, resulting in a calorie count estimated to be around 1,115 per serving. View 3 Images
