The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday announced the appointment of Bihar minister Nitin Nabin as its National Working President, marking a significant organisational transition within the party.
Nabin, who currently serves as Bihar’s Road Construction Minister in the Nitish Kumar-led government, has been a prominent figure in state politics since first entering the Assembly in 2006. A five-term MLA from the Bankipur constituency, he secured another decisive victory in the 2025 elections with a margin of over 52,000 votes.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Nabin, praising his dedication, grassroots connect, and humble nature. “He is a young and hardworking leader who has worked with complete commitment to fulfill the aspirations of the people,” Modi said.
