India U19 maintained their dominant form in the U19 Men’s Asia Cup, thumping Pakistan by 90 runs in a rain-curtailed Group A clash at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Sunday, December 14. The match, reduced to 49 overs per side due to a rain delay, saw India post 240 before dismissing Pakistan for 150 in 41.2 overs.

With this emphatic victory, India extended their unbeaten run in the tournament and climbed to the top of Group A, moving a step closer to securing a semi-final berth.

After Pakistan chose to field first, Indian captain Ayush Mhatre got off to a flying start, scoring 38 off 25 balls and helping India reach 78 for 1 in 9.4 overs. The innings briefly lost momentum after his dismissal, as Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Vihaan Malhotra, and Vedant Trivedi failed to make an impact.
