One of Flagstaff’s most popular Chinese restaurants recently closed its doors as Hunan West announced its ownership had elected to retire to spend more time with family.

The notice was posted on the front door of the restaurant, which officially closed on Sunday, Dec. 7, after decades in business along South Plaza Way.
