Horror footage shows motorist 'driving at pedestrians' on Deansgate

Video footage has captured the horrific moment screams were heard as a car appeared to have been used to 'drive at pedestrians' in Manchester city centre during the early hours of Sunday (December 14).

The clips, shared widely on social media, showed what appeared to be a grey BMW estate driving erratically on Deansgate , in the centre of Manchester, at around 5am. It happened while the area was busy with revellers following festive nights out.

A 25-year-old man was treated in hospital following the incident. He is thought to have been injured after being hit by a car. Police said no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
