The Detroit Lions will be missing both their starting safeties in a key game that could help reshape the NFC playoff picture.
The Lions will be playing against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, Dec. 14, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, with the game scheduled to kick off at 4:25 p.m. ET.
And with the loss of safety Brian Branch, the Lions' defense may have an even more difficult job trying to keep Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and the rest of the Los Angeles offense in check.
Branch tore his Achilles in the Lions' 44-30 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14, later undergoing surgery that will keep him out for the rest of the season . Additionally, Lions safety Kerby Joseph has been ruled out of Sunday's game as he continues to deal with a chronic knee issue.
