FBI Director Kash Patel on Sunday described in a post on X how the agency helped local law enforcement apprehend a "person of interest" in the Brown University shooting case .

"As a result, early this morning, FBI Boston’s Safe Streets Task Force, with assistance from the [US Marshals] & the [Coventry PD], detained a person of interest in a hotel room in Coventry , RI, based off a lead by the [Providence PD]," Patel wrote in his lengthy post.
