JUST IN: Death Toll Rises to 16 People Slaughtered at Hanukkah Celebration in Australia

Australian police said the number of people killed in an attack on a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach has risen to 16, in an update shared on Monday around 7:30 a.m. local time.

New South Wales Commissioner Mal Lanyon , during a press conference, said 42 other people were injured in the shooting. Chris Minns , the Premier of New South Wales, said two offices were injured in the attack and were in “critical but stable condition” in the hospital.
