Football fans are teeing off on President Donald Trump after his old comments about the Army-Navy football game resurfaced.

Donald Trump attended the annual Army-Navy game at M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday. The 79-year-old even got to perform the pre-game coin toss duties. The Midshipmen went on to win 17-16, improving to 10-2 on the season.

However, fans are criticizing the president after digging up some old comments he made about the Army-Navy football rivalry from 2016. Here’s what he said at the time, per NBC Washington :

“I just love the armed forces, love the folks. The spirit is so incredible. I mean, I don’t know if it’s necessarily the best football, but it’s very good. But boy do they have spirit.”
