An Ipswich campaigner will be taking her call for more support for the families of brain tumour patients to Westminster on Monday.
Kasey Brown, 32, described how she had been left homeless due to the financial impact of supporting her mum Tricia, who was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in 2022 and died in 2023.
She is calling for "clear, proactive financial guidance" from the moment of diagnosis, which she said would have made an "enormous difference" - saving families from having to hunt for the information.
Ms Brown said: “Caring for mum became a full-time responsibility, not just practically but emotionally.
"We rearranged our lives completely - work hours were reduced or stopped, savings were drained, and any sense of personal time or rest disappeared.
