Despite leading 21-0 in the first quarter, 24-7 at halftime and 31-28 in the fourth quarter, the Patriots lost 35-31 to the Bills on Sunday. Josh Allen and the Bills offense scored a touchdown on five consecutive drives at one point, and they outscored the Patriots 28-7 in the second half.
The Patriots still have the inside track toward winning the division crown, but the margin for error over the Bills has tightened.
