AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Friday is set to be another hot one before a front arrives bringing a cooler weekend and a chance of rainfall.
Today
While Thursday hit the hottest day of the year at 104°, we expect to see temperatures just a couple of degrees down as humidity returns. This more humid air is a bit harder to see a major temperature swing meaning we didn't get as cool of a morning and it won't be as hot today.
This weekend
As we watch moisture from Lorena reach Central Texas, we're also watching a cold front arriving Saturday morning. This is an earlier arrival than previously forecast and has helped to knock our high temperatures out of the 90s and into the 80s for most areas.
Rain chances have ticked up on Saturday (30%), with isolated storms possible too.
