ALEXANDRIA, VA – Step back in time and honor the heroes of World War II as the City of Alexandria and the Alexandria-Caen Sister City Committee present the 15th Annual D-Day Commemoration on Sunday, June 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Market Square (301 King Street). Now one of the East Coast’s largest city-sponsored D-Day tributes, this free, family-friendly event brings the 1940s to life with swing music, historical reenactors, vintage flair, and a powerful ceremony honoring the legacy of June 6, 1944.
