Texas (KBTX) - The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) removed the COVID-19 vaccine from the recommended vaccine lists for healthy children and pregnant women. This decision has stirred mixed reactions among medical professionals, including Dr. Nkaleke from the Brazos County Health District.

The federal government is no longer recommending routine booster shots of the COVID vaccine for healthy children and pregnant women who have no underlying conditions.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to announce that as of today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the CDC recommended immunization schedule,” exclaimed Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the U.S. secretary of HHS.
