COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents met Thursday for its second quarterly meeting of 2025, approving major changes to student policies, funding, and campus development plans.
Regents signed off on several infrastructure and academic improvements, including a $5.8 million road widening project on Penberthy Road in College Station. The plan will expand the road from two to four lanes near Reed Arena, add new crossing systems, and improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
Road construction is set to begin in June and finish by January 2026.
