AUSTIN, Texas — The Robinson softball team came into Austin looking for their first state championship since 1999 and took care of business, defeating Aubrey by a score of 10-1.

Senior Rocket Kaygen Marshall, who is committed to Baylor, would give Robinson a good start with a solo home run in the first inning to put the Rockets ahead 1-0 after the first.

Aubrey would respond by adding a run to even the game 1-1 in the top of the third inning. But the bottom of the frame is when the Rockets strike back.

Pitcher Raelynn Van Zee, also a Baylor commit, blasted a solo home run to put Robinson back on top 2-1. A wild pitch would score another Rocket, but with the bases loaded Addison Williams drove in 3 more runs on a ball the Chaparrals couldn't come down with and two more Rockets score to g
