DALLAS — The 89th Texas Legislative Session has come to a close.
Significant bills have already become law, from school vouchers to a bill battling antisemitism on college campuses across the state.
Although the session has closed, there are three major bills WFAA is watching closely.
Senate Bill 3 , which would ban THC. Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick says the people pushing the bill, "These are bad actors. These are people who want to kill your kids, and they don't give a damn.”
While Mitch Fuller, the National & State Chairman of the VFW Department of Texas, believes, “Taking this away from us is a threat. This is literally our lives that are at stake.”
