Severe storms continue to push their way through Mid-Missouri this evening. The severe threat will continue to decrease past sunset.
Strong winds and heavy rain have been the main threat with these storms. There have been several reports of downed power lines, downed trees & tree limbs, water on roadways, and power outages. Avoid downed power lines and do not drive through flooded roadways.
Storms have been producing rainfall rates of 1-2" per hour. A flood watch is in effect for most of Mid-Missouri through Wednesday morning. Widespread rainfall totals of 2-4" are expected with some locally higher amounts nearing 5-6" are possible within the watch area.
