SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The statue of Christopher Columbus in downtown Syracuse is a symbol to many as a celebration of Italian culture. To others, it's a painful reminder of colonialism.

But the Columbus Monument Corporation group is trying to sway voters ahead of the Democratic mayoral primary on June 24. They're telling city voters to back Councilor Pat Hogan for mayor.

The I-Team asked Hogan and each candidate a simple question: Is this a decisive issue in the race for City Hall?
