A Scots gangster was with his "golf buddies" on a holiday in Spain when he was brutally assassinated. Eddie Lyons Jnr, a prominent figure in organised crime, was enjoying a trip with friends from Dullatur Golf Club when he and his associate, Ross Monaghan, were targeted and killed on the Costa del Sol.

The group of golfers were said to be "traumatised" after unwittingly finding themselves caught up in mob violence while on their sunny getaway. They had joined Lyons at an Irish bar owned by Monaghan in Fuengirola to view the Champions League Final last Saturday.
