Homewood City Councilwoman Jennifer Andress officially launched her campaign for mayor on Thursday, announcing her candidacy ahead of the city’s upcoming municipal election on August 26.
Andress says her campaign is built on energy, experience, and a deep personal commitment to the community she’s served for nearly a decade.

Andress, who is serving her second term on the council, made the announcement early Thursday morning through social media and her campaign website. In her statement, she emphasized her deep-rooted commitment to the community
