A Prescott man faces charges after two pedestrians were struck and injured by a vehicle in downtown Prescott on Saturday morning.

At about 11:50 a.m., officers with the Ontario Provincial Police’s Grenville County detachment responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a pickup truck and two pedestrians at the intersection of King Street East and Edward Street, the OPP reported later Saturday.

The victims, a man and woman in their early 20s, were crossing the intersection at the time, said Acting Staff Sgt. Cynthia Savard.

The man suffered minor injuries, while the woman’s injures are more serious, although not life-threatening, she said. Both victims were taken to hospital.
