CORTLAND, Ohio (WKBN) -- Thousands in the Cortland area are currently without power.

According to FirstEnergy, crews are working quickly to restore power for about 5,400 customers in the Cortland area. The outage happened just before 6 p.m. and is under investigation.

FirstEnergy's website says the power is expected to be restored by 9 p.m.
