Several witnesses called 911 after seeing a man beating and dragging a dog near a mobile home park in northern Macomb County, according to Michigan State Police.
The incident took place about 9:30 a.m. Sunday in the 12000 block of St. Michel Avenue in Springbrook Estates off the M-53 freeway north of 33 Mile Road in Bruce Township.
Numerous people called 911 to report they saw a man hurting the dog close to the mobile home community, police said in a news release.
Police found the dog and male suspect described as a white, 31-year-old man from Bruce Township on St. Michel Avenue.
