ADAMS COUNTY, Ill. (WGEM) - After a years worth of special events, the Adams County Bicentennial celebration will go out with a bang on Saturday.

The finale event will take place on Sept. 6 at the Adams County Fairgrounds. The Adams County Bicentennial Commission said they will be celebrating 200 years of the county’s history, heritage and community.

“This is a celebration 200 years in the making, and we want to see tremendous community pride on display,” said Bicentennial Commission Chairperson Chuck Scholz. “Whether you come for the music, the family fun, or simply to be part of history, this is an event you won’t want to miss.”

Admission into the fairgrounds is free and will feature a day full of activities:
