CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Charlotte convicted felon was sentenced on weapon-related charges on Tuesday, Russ Ferguson, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of North Carolina, announced.

According to court documents and proceedings, on September 13, 2022, Cornwell was arrested by CMPD officers on an outstanding warrant.

Law enforcement also searched Cornwell's home, where they seized multiple rounds of ammunition, a .40 caliber drum magazine, multiple rifle magazines, a gun sight, digital scales, and a distribution quantity of marijuana. A loaded .40 caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol was seized from Cornwell's vehicle.
