State secures FEMA grant for Windy Rock fire

The state of Montana is getting some help paying for firefighting costs associated with the 3,895-acre Windy Rock fire, the Montana governor's office announced Thursday.

According to the announcement, the state secured a Fire Management Assistance Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The grant makes FEMA funding available to pay 75% of the state’s eligible firefighting costs.
