Casa Azul Mexican Kitchen, a restaurant with established locations in Conover, Lincolnton and Shelby, recently opened the doors to its Gastonia location.

Here are three things to know.

Location

Casa Azul is located at 3725 E. Franklin Blvd. The building was formerly occupied by Hooters before it closed in November 2024.

Hours

The restaurant is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

What’s on the menu

Casa Azul’s menu includes items like empanadas, fresh guacamole, nachos, chicken, carnitas and carne asada tacos, enchiladas, tamales, burritos and more.

It will also serve beer, margaritas and other cocktails eventually, but is not set up to sell alcohol at this time.
