FARGO — A local nonprofit is making sure children in need have a new outfit for the first day of school.
More than 100 volunteers showed up to Dakota High School on Wednesday, Aug. 20, to sort clothes for Youthworks’ annual "We’ve Got You Covered" clothing drive.
For more than a decade, Youthworks has provided free clothes for families. In 2024, the nonprofit gave new clothes to more than 1,200 families.
A large portion of donated clothes and shoes come from CI Sports and Scheels.
A Youthworks program manager said the event helps children feel more confident before going back to school.
