FORT STEWART, Ga. (WSAV) - The Fort Stewart shooting suspect Sgt. Quornelius Radford, remains behind bars at Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina as he awaits his trial.

Now, we are hearing from one of the people responsible for helping save the lives of his five victims that day.

Major Alex Angelidis the Emergency Room Chief of Winn Army Community Hospital first got the call that morning from a medic on base.

"At that point, I kind of realized, okay, this is this is real," Angelidis said. "He had said that EMS had just arrived. He told me that there were three victims, two with gunshot wounds to the chest and one with a gunshot wound to the abdomen."

Dr. Angelidis was one of the first to see the soldiers who were shot when they came in, then his staff from went into action.
