An eight-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car outside a Scots primary school.
The pupil was knocked down on Sunnyside outside Kilmaurs Primary School in East Ayrshire at around 3pm yesterday (August 21).
Police attended the scene and the boy was taken to hospital to be checked over following the collision.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Thursday, 21 August, 2025, officers received a report of a crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
“The pedestrian, an eight-year-old boy, was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
It comes as alarming footage captured the moment a child was seen driving down a busy road in Livingston on an electric scooter.
