“Nature’s Geometry” will open Sept. 2 at Art & Light Gallery in Greenville.

The exhibition, which features works by artists Bethany Mabee of Peoria, Illinois, and Shannon Woodford of Waxhaw, North Carolina, will be on display virtually on the gallery’s website and in person at 16 Aiken St. in Greenville through Sept. 27.

Woodford uses many mediums like watercolor, acrylic, encaustic, oil paint and mixed-media on canvas to create multilayered, expressionistic, dramatic snapshots of nature. Mabee is an abstract painter and textile designer who has spent over 20 years immersed in the interior design industry as she worked on her painting and studio practice. Her work explores improvisation through interactions with color and material, said a news release from the gallery.
