Plans for a tiny home village are underway in Vernal City. Vernal City Manager Quinn Bennion provided an update of the plans to Evans Family Media. “In a recent community survey, the top concern of residents was access to affordable housing,” shared Bennion. “Vernal City officials took steps [on Wednesday] to help in that effort. Vernal City is partnering with a development team to create a tiny home village to encourage affordable home ownership. After a selection process, City Council chose Sparano + Mooney with Polaris homes, all Utah based companies, to develop a tiny home village on city owned property at 600 South 300 East. Approximately 25 small homes will be constructed next summer in the size range of 400 to 900 square feet with an estimated sale price of $150,000 to $200,000.”
