LARAMIE — Jay Sawvel is anxious to put last year behind him.
The second-year University of Wyoming football coach started his tenure with a 3-9 record, including a 2-5 mark in Mountain West play. After being impressed with the Cowboys’ work this offseason, Sawvel is now turning the page to the 2025 season.
The campaign kicks off against Akron at 5 p.m. Thursday in Ohio (ESPN+).
