MACON, Ga. — The Northeast and Southwest High School football game Friday ended in the third quarter after a fight broke out on the field, prompting the Georgia High School Association and Bibb County School District to each launch investigations into the situation.
Marvin James, director of media relations with GHSA, said that the association is aware of the fight and will be opening their investigation next week.
He said that they will review videos and interview both coaches and players to determine what exactly happened.
He said that there have been no suspensions, penalties or fines issued to either team at this moment. James said there could be after the investigation concludes.
