Gamecock defensive line coach Travian Robertson is in a Columbia hospital after being involved in a car crash Friday morning in which the driver of the other vehicle was killed. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred at 5:45 AM Friday on U.S. Highway 76 near Chapin. The other driver crossed the centerline and hit Robertson’s Tahoe head on. Gamecock head coach Shane Beamer issued a statement on Robertson Friday night:

“Travian Robertson was involved in a car accident [Friday] morning,” USC coach Shane Beamer said in a Friday statement. “He is currently in the hospital in stable condition.
